tear tracks

Squandering away the hours of my life on this sculpture, a low relief in alabaster about 8"x8".   Not finished yet with the detail or the polishing.  The pattern in the stone is really dramatic, but it's playing hell with the shadows and detail in certain lighting, competing and confusing the contour created image.  It may end up as one of those sculptures that only looks good in the right lighting situations, in other words, it won't be winning any gallery space.

  4. Fringe, if you're trying to sell your sculptures or have a way for potential customers to see your work (website?) you can write to the fine ladies who run The Political Carnival and they'll help you promote your creations. I went to their site, found the email address, sent a photo or two from my nature photography, and lo and behold they put in their newest "Cool Things for the Holidays" post, along with a link to my website.

Might help you move some stuff! (and they've got a great progressive site, to boot!)
