Toadie approaching

For the Blogstream refugees, Toadie left me a note elsewhere, he is on his way to blogger, may be a while but he'll get here.  He apparently is refurbishing a defunct blog.

  1. Sounds good. I'm starting to get it figured out. A Little.

Yours is hard to find, unless I cut and paste.

  2. p.s. If you want to die in bed, that's cool. But your line there "works" better if you switch it to "I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not like those people ... "

  3. nota, Thanks, I need a good editor. I wonder why you can't find this site easily? I also have that trouble, if I click on some of the "Followers" icons here or that I see on others blogs, some take me to their blog directly, others to a kind of intro page, a few even send me dead ending.

  4. Guys, the trick to Blogger is to follow other's blogs. Then their current posts show up in your Dashboard reader.

Fringe, the reason you get the intro page is because of how a blogger has his account set up, or because they've deleted or changed their blog post or blog title.

On the Dashboard there are three tabs, I just leave mine on Blogs I'm Following and here I am.

  5. Thanks Sherry! Maybe this will work, yet.

  6. Nota, I wish I knew what was up with Mokie Joe. Not having a FB page, the only info I have, came through you about his firing. He never resumed posting in BS after that, just closed his account.

I've looked through practically all the progressive blog sites I can find for anyone that might be Mokie and haven't seen a single possibility. I just can't imagine him not having someplace where he's defending his politics, but so far, nothing. Damn shame, too.

  7. Sherry,
Thank you for this explanation, love the help. I am using also a tumblr site, Killer Puffin. That thing drives me nuts with it's restriction on comment size.

  8. YF, I don't have the time I used to so I made a decision to cut back on my online accounts. I can read your Tumblr but not comment.

Also, when Sarge gets back tonight tell him the instructions I left him on how to put an image in a post are still on his request for help post. I suggest you also tell him to read the damn thing before he pops the top of a cold one? ROFL!

You also might like to tell him that if he'd ASK me, I'd help him any way I could. Ooops, sorry, I forgot. Real men don't ask for directions. LMAO!

  10. Sherry,
He was haveing some trouble, so he gave me his password and I put that one pic up for him to test it. Then I talked to him and we walked through how to do it, but it won't work, the add a picture icon will not open for him, I think he has a software problem, I think he is using an old version of windows, or maybe an old browser.
    Chers.

  11. I have a 6 year old computer using XP and it works for me. Suggest he clean out his cookies, and if his problem is that his computer is blocking pop ups, it would give him the message it was doing so at the top of the screen. He could click on that and tell it to allow pop-ups for this site.

If he's using IE or Firefox browser, they have free upgrades to current versions on their sites.
