Limbaugh proves global warming

Here’s the data (from NOAA) on the number of U.S. records broken or tied in the month of July so far:
  • All-Time Highest Maximum Temperature: 70
  • All-Time Highest Minimum Temperature: 175
  • Monthly Highest Maximum Temperature: 125
  • Monthly Highest Minimum Temperature: 330
  • Daily Highest Maximum Temperature: 2,125
  • Daily Highest Minimum Temperature: 4,787

The inability of the earth to shed day time highs at night is very bad news, a sure sign we are on a trend more dire than as Limbaugh intended in his dismissive snark, "oh it does that every year".   Look at the High Minimums, in other words the low temperature set a new record for how high it was, confusing maybe but these numbers say as cool as it got was a new record high compared to as cool as it got historically. So, Limbaugh is right though he doesn't understand it and if he did would retract it, in fact the last many years, it does that every year.

  1. We've had a few brutal heat waves in CT this year with the heat index up to 115. We set an all time record last week with the temperature hitting 102 with a heat index of 115. Absolutely brutal. It was like living in the Rain Forest but I'm sure that's normal. Along with the 60" of snow we received in just the month of January when the temps never went below 25 degrees. Usually, January is our coldest month and we get much less snow, 25 may sound cold but we usually have weeks at a time of 0-25 degrees but it never got that low. Then February was unusually warm (35-45) and we had no snow at all in Feb or March.
Weather patterns are all screwed up this year, and I'm sure it will only get worse.
