You gotta love this green-o-meter I found at the Guardian, a UK news paper.  They use this in articles about the government and politicians actions or claims that impact the environment.

You gotta love it that the UK named the lowest score possible "worse than Bush".   I read a lot of foreign news sites, they continue to be flabbergasted at the US's lack of understanding and action on the full spectrum of environmental issues, from global warming, through chemicals, and clean energy to run-away consumerism as a waste producing life style.  Well, me too really.

  1. Darrel,
I don't buy that shit from the Brits - they use zillions of tons of coal and burn that peat moss stuff from the bogs too.
Been to the place twice - cold and wet.

    I like hot and wet.

    1. Ron, sorry, I think you missed the point of the post, the Guardian in it's reports of political statements and policy use this as a truthmeter to verify or expose the truth behind what's in the news.
On your point, you are correct they burn some dirty shit, they are however making changes at a pace faster than we are (relative to size). There are great amounts of wind energy at sea, and in some cities they are retrofitting old buildings to save energy, in London you have to pay a steep toll to drive into the inner city, this cuts oil use and pollution as more people take the tube or bus. bike, walk, noise is also reduced.
