Oh, I wish we could call a "do over"

Poll shows 7 of the 8 newly elected GOP govs would lose in a "do over" now that the voters see what they bought.  Where's the return desk?  I just hate this thing, it's more abrasive than I thought it would be!

I honestly thought this would happen.  Bob Dylan said, "you gotta serve somebody", and these guys appear to be doing a good job for the top 10% of the nations income earners.

  3. fringe -

    We must elect officials who are willing to stand up against those who are using our atmosphere as a free dumping ground for carbon!

    What I wish we had was a list of questions that would be asked of each candidate. Then their actions would be compared to the answers they gave. Anyone caught "flip-flopping" would be removed from office promptly!

    Here are two that I would ask -

    Do you believe that our climate has changed and will continue to change (not in a favorable way) due to the burning of fossil fuels?

    Do you believe that special interest money should be allowed in politics?

    Can you think of any that you would add?

    I don't know, but I suspect a few of them may have that problem, but they are elected in gerrymandered slots and so are in a different dynamic.

  5. Illuminated One;

    I don't often have that choice, in my red state I am in the 30% who do not support the GOP every time no matter what. I focus out of state and give small amounts to close races where a good candidate might have a chance with a little boost.
    Like you questions, I have some too. Considering the GOP continues to reduce foodstamps and infant nutrition programs, meals in schools for those desperately poor.........
    I would like to know if they believe it moral for a parent to steal to feed a starving child, and if not what jail term would they suggest, and for repeat offenders?
