Kansas new education budget (again) cuts foreign language teachers

    Cuts in foreign language teachers? Does that mean that Kansas is laying off a lot of English teachers? :^)

  2. Another good video. Shame about foreign language teachers. Crazy. To understand other cultures and languages is a big plus nowadays in this global economy and global world. Cutting them brings us one step closer to Deliverance.

  3. What a sad mistake. Here in equally backwards Indiana we have Chinese immersion classes and the west side is fast becoming the most ethnically diverse area in the state.
    I never tried to speak German. Thai and Korean were impossibile - I am still laboring with Japanese. But, to know other languages and other cultures is to know the world. Those people deciding things like this in Topeka need to rethink what they are doing..
