Canada finds a way to save millions and help the environment

Canada killed their penny as a money saving move, it takes tons of metal, and costs more than it's worth.

When will the US dump the penny?  Round off to a nickel with cash sales, use the penny on checks and credit cards, lets go.

  1. They could round off to the nearest quarter, as far as I can tell. No more $X.99 for practically everything. Either it's $X+1 or $X.75. I'll take my quarter for the laundry.

    1. Kevin,
You are right. The penny, nickel, and dime serve absolutely no purpose. But how will rounding anything keep the consumer from getting fucked?
I never use cash and wear debit cards out.
