Harvard's Meat and Mortality Studies

Not mentioned in this video, did you know fry cooks have cancer rates like coal miners, years of meat smoke is as poison as diesel soot.
We are 7 months into vegan diet.  The wife keeps detailed expense records, we eat a lot of expensive fruits and vegi's and nuts, but by passing the meat counter we are a little below our expenses as carnivores.  Now a couple times a month we have salmon.  Beyond that the wife had a serving of turkey at Christmans, me, in that time I had one sausage, 2 ribs, a couple beef and chicken sandwich, 1 hamburger, and turkey at xmas, in 7 months.  I get by on 30 minutes less sleep now.

  1. I have pretty much cut down on meat. Lots of fish. Salmon is good for you and I like the taste of the Asian catfish Swai. I do shrimp fried rice a lot too.
Haven't had a monster burger in months...

  2. Ron, I think it's for the best. Did you see this piece on CBS last night, a 6th grader in Guthrie Oklahoma tipped the scale at 206 pounds. His parents were idiots for allowing it and he not them turned t around. He lost 85 pounds in a few months by cutting out most meats, all soft drinks, no pizza, no burgers or fries, no ice cream, he eats tons of fruit and vegi's, and he exercises, it really is amazing. If he didn't do this, he was headed for diabetes for sure along with most other kids, and maybe heart failure in his 30's.
